This is against the light. So some portions at the bottom are in shadows. Moving to the other side might have been better. At f2.7 the depth of field is going to be shallow (despite the small sensor size of your compact camera). You need to be precise in your focusing. The good thing is you are trying for a lower angle. That enhances the image.

The low angle adds to the composition. Agree about the light, do check where the light is from and try to photograph with the sun behind your back. A narrower aperture would have been good to get more details as you had good shutter speed. Do check the AF point to see where the focus was. Thanks for sharing.
