Lovely eye contact and head turn. Wish you had got it on a natural perch. Good shot nevertheless. Yes, it is an Indian Roller (also called the Blue Jay, though that name is used for different species in other parts of the world).

I remember during my film days I used to stalk these birds with a 300mm lens in bharatpur to get a full frame image. The brilliant colour always attracts people. I agree that a natural perch would have been great. Unfortunately, there has been so much of construction in the ECR (East Coast Road) that these poor things can't even find a tree. :-(
