Looks like it is moving away due to the closer approach. Was it clicked from a boat? Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

I was away for "SUNDARBAN DIVAS".
This is a Large Estuarine Crocodile photographed in the morning on 17th Feb, 2006 in THE SUNDARBANS T.R.We were 7 friends moving in a Small Launch. As the Launch turned a bend on Sundarkhali Canal at about 9 A.M, we observed that there was a movement in the Grass on the Bank.It was Low Tide as such the crocodile was about 8-10 ft above water level almost at the same level of the Deck of our Launch. As we stopped the Engine and approached it,it came out at a fast speed and Jumped into the water. The photo was taken at that moment with Hind Legs in Air.
The purpose of my choosing this Crocodile Photo is for the viewers to see HOW MUCH STRETCHING Of THE BODY could be made by an Estuarine Crocodile for rapidly moving into Safety of Water.
    Camera:Canon 300 EOS,Telezoom:Canon 75-300mm,Film:Kodak 200ASA,ShutterSpeed 1/500Sec,Aperture:5.6,Hand held,Photo taken from Deck,Scanned from Negative Print.
Shri Sabyasachi is correct that Photo was taken from the Deck.
