A portrait of a Hyllus jumping spider (family Salticidae), shot in Karwar.
The eyes of jumping spiders are capable of vision in the normal human range, as well as into the UV range. The eyes (especially the front-facing ones) produce a very high resolution image, but this restricts them to a very narrow field of vision. To compensate this drawback, these spiders have 6-8 considerably large eyes all around their head.

Cropped a little bit from all sides. A bit of NR used.
This was also processed on a smaller screen, but altered the quality a little... Let me know how it looks. Will start processing on a larger monitor very soon.
