From the number of wild boar kills that I have seen by tiger, one can safely say that it is an important food for tiger. Ferocious and needs to be tackled properly by a tiger. I have read several accounts of dead wild boar and disemboweled adolescent tiger.
In Dec 2001, watching at the number of piglets in Sariska I was wondering whether tigers are there. I had failed to see a tiger pug mark. In Feb 2002 it became official that Sariska had lost its tigers. There is a nice balancing act going on between the predator and prey. The problem is when man interferes...
