    Majestic pose and composition.It is always heartening to see the image of this royal waterfowl.Grey heron,purple heron and great egret,to my mind,are a class apart amongst herons and egrets.Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

    I remember the number of hours I used to run after the purple heron and grey herons in bharaptur. It seems that this bird was far off. I often find that it is better to focus manually while photographing these species with long and slender necks.

    The habitat is nice. Agree manual focusing would be good, as it is difficult to as the AF point can get locked on something else. Slight less space at the bottom till the plants would be good. Thanks for sharing.
