The bird is at a higher height and is in shade. Though it has turned its head, the eye contact is not good. Also due to the composition our eyes are attracted towards the red vent and not towards the head. Saturation is on the higher side. The easiest way to notice higher saturation is deep blue sky.

Cute bird. Its quite difficult to photograph with the sky in the background. Agree with the above comments. Wish it was a bit closer, so you could have avoided the space on the left behind the stalk. Also it would be good if you use full ISO like 100, 200, 400, 500 instead of the intermediate ISO. Thanks for sharing.
