Lovely wing spread. The flowing water and the rocks give a nice feel of its habitat. Its good you used a high ISO, as that has helped. Hope you get it close soon. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comments & tips, Mrudul. in my set up i found this bird, most of the time, in dark gorges. hopefully i get closer next time.
Lovely wingspread in the backdrop of flowing water through the gorge.Arunachal can boast of a number of species of Redstart.White-capped water-redstart occurs in rocky,swift-flowing mountain streams. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
Nice wingspread against the flowing water. This appears to me a Water redstart, but difficult to say what exact species of water redstart. A larger image may have had more impact.

thanks guys. can you suggest me a guide book on birds' ID? i am zero in identifying them. regards.
Kaling Bhai,
1.The Book of Indian Birds: BNHS :Salim Ali -(For Beginners)
2.Birds of the Indian Subcontinent : BNHS :Ranjit Manakadan,J.C.Daniel &Nikhil Bhopale
3. Birds of the Indian Subcontinent :Grimmet,Inskipp&Inskipp (or Pocket Guide by the same authors)
These three books will serve your purpose for the present,in my view.
Kind regards,
SaktiWild
I love the feel of this image. A lovely environment portrait.
To me it looks like a Plumbeous Redstart.
This image gives a nice feel of the habitat. You can post a larger image. Images upto 1024 pixels on the longest side are allowed.

Lovely image. Agree with others that the wing span looks nice with the water background. Hope you get a closer shot soon!!
