Nice shot.But what are the blurred brown things at the bottom of the frame? Are they twigs in the foreground? If possible, avoiding them would have made this image better.

I am not sure whether a lower angle would have been an issue due to the grasses obstructing. Since the bird is looking towards the left, I would have placed it more to the right. You can open up the shadows a bit.
