    Default Purple Sunbird Male

    Clicked in Saswad, near Pune.
    @ 1/500s f/9.0
    ISO 400
Remembered Sabyasachi sir's tip to use a f/8.0 or above for a telephoto lens and it really paid off. Thanks a lot sir!
Has been cropped to get the a good size of the bird in the frame.

Nice to see a purple sunbird. The eye contact is nice. The light seems to be a bit harsh. What time was this photographed? It is better to photograph early in the morning or late in the afternoon as the light is soft and you don't get dark shadows (as you can see in the underside of the bird). Thanks for sharing.

Sunbird male. If you try and wait near a flowering plant, then your chances of getting a close up is more. Occasionally these birds will land on a perch nearby. So best thing is identify a spot and wait. I am sure you will get a better shot soon.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
