spotted owlets spotted in a nest ?? they nest in hollows have they commandeered one . This tree in a field is home to at least five spotted owlets for a long time, i wonder who made this nest near a predators lair

Nice yellow eyes. Bold look. The image is of great interest to me. The Spotted Owlet from left looks like young one.The nest belonged to some other birds who were not afraid of these owlets, rather capable of mobbing them.
