It was nice to see lot of deers in Sundarbans this time compared to 3 years back. There were also lot of fawns seen with mothers. Nice pose and good eye contact. Seems it moved slightly when you photographed. I remember one was also standing on its hind legs and feeding. Thanks for sharing.
This image clearly shows the browsing habit of deers in Sundarbans. The rough terrain and scarcity of vegetation ensures that they don't have an easy life. The tongue gives an impression of a kid trying to taste a new thing. Thanks for sharing.

This image is expressive of how tough is survival in the Sunderbans where the mangroves provide the only means of sustenance for the browsers which in turn are the prey base for the tigers.Instead of grazing off the ground the have to reach up for their greens.Another case of natural adaptation for survival of the fittest.Thanks for sharing.
