    Default The Spines

The nature has made some really amazing things. This one is actually larva of some kind of beetle, may be of ladybird/spotted beetle. Who would dare against such spines? That's how they survive in this stage.

    EXIF Info:

    Camera: Nikon D7000
    Lens: Nikon 40mm macro
    ISO: 200
    Aperture: F/10
    Shutter Speed: 1/160

    Handheld, Edited, Cropped, Ring-flash fired.
    Thank You.

Lovely. The spines look nice. Is the AF point locked slightly infront of the subject on the leaf? Please check. I feel you could have increased the ISO to 400 and used a narrower aperture for more depth of field. That would have brought more of the larve in focus, enhancing the image further. Thanks for sharing.

The spines look beautiful, as if it is some kind of sea creature. Since you are using a 40mm macro, it is very difficult to know which one is the main plane of focus. What was its estimated size? Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Sabyasachi da for your complements. It was roughly a centimeter long.
