Dear all,
I am organising the conference entitled Mahseer 2017, to be held in Kochi on 5th and 6th April. While the main subject of the conference is issues concerning conservation of members of the Tor genus of fish, we are trying to steer the debate away from strictly fish matters and into holistic river habitat concerns.
Anybody who has experience of river habitat conservation will be welcome at the event. We are also keen to encourage students who are considering working with fish, river habitat or other elements of the aquatic environment to attend and will offer 50% discount on registration fees to bone-fide students.
On 7th April, there will be a workshop on fish telemetry, conducted by officials from Vemco of Canada. Numbers for this workshop will be strictly limited, and early applications will be essential.
For more information, please see the attached 'first call' flyer or contact me on steve@mahseertrust.org
Hope to see you there...
