Nikon 7100+150-600 1/2000s ISO800 FL460mm F/8.At the waterfront June 2017 evening in Bhadra.
Lovely composition capturing the classic 'Family herding' pattern, with the little one always between the two mothers. The light seems harsh and facing the elephants, casting shadows on the body.
Tried to control the harsh light with a bit of contrast closure, one round of sharpening and working on the saturation levels on the enclosed picture. Loved the composition with super straight water lines and the horizons.

Nice frame. Cute baby, may be a few weeks old, with lean undeveloped trunk still completely dependent on milk. It seems the female in the foreground is the mother. Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
Nice environmental composition. Difficult lighting conditions. I feel a slight lesser ISO would have sufficed here. There seem to be some loss of details. Was this photographed from a moving vehicle? The repost by Rajan looks good. Thanks for sharing.
Its amazing how a little correction to the contrast of the image brings out the best!Nice pic and composition.
I am wondering how Saktipadaji zeroed in on the mother!..Probably the shape of the baby!It resembles more like the one guessed by Saktiji and not the one to he left on the baby!
When I visited Bhadra years ago did not see a single animal! But enjoyed the trip nonetheless!

Sankar Bhai,
The elephant in the foreground is the suckling mother, if you closely look at its physical development. On 22.01 2016 Madam Shyamala posted another photo of a mother and a calf and you may refer to the observations made. Kind regards , SaktiWild
Saktipadaji I am posting another image to show who actually is the calf's mother.
Thank you Rajan for the repost. The image certainly looks better.
