ID: Nursery web spider with beetle catch?
While on a look out for one of the most elusive specimen along the trail, we decided to try venturing off the usual trail, just to try our luck. Unfortunately though the elusivity remained, but stumbled upon this interesting sight. What seemed to be a pair of beetle, either pre or post the mating, a spider, which was residing under the same leaf, popped though the holes in the leaf, probably done by the same beetles(my assumption) and had trapped one of them. Though the predator had entangled the prey, it still kept on probing the prey with its front pedipalps, but it never emerged out of the hole and kept itself enclosed and protected, due to this couldn’t get a clear shot of the predator, making it difficult to identify the species
