ID: Poltys(orb weaver spider)
One of the most intriguing form of a spider that I had recently encountered, the mighty orb seemed to have compressed itself into a compact form, almost mimicking a shield bug from the rear end. The beauty had crouched down in this resting pose almost hiding the eyes too, but still in a position from where it can keep a cautious eye of the surrounding. The whole compressed form confuses an amateur eyes assuming it to be some other worldly being and misinterpreting the size of the mammoth, an interesting take in camouflaging itself. Some of these beauties are also known to mimic a twig or leaves, though his was an interesting take on blending into the dry and wintery terrain.
