One of the defense pose of this unique caterpillar, the lobster moth caterpillar, known for its 'creepy' yet distinctive crustacean type appearance, these tend to get into this posture once it detects any danger in its proximity.

So it curls into a 'U' pose which is totally different from its normal appearance. Nature has given these species such amazing behaviours to protect themseleves. Good details. Nice capture. Thanks for sharing.
