Elephnat Family.......Gavi!

We were fortunate to have spotted these elephants on a hot day at Gavi-Periyar Tiger Reserve.But they were on a slope where the sun was not shining!

Nice sighting. I would also like to see a wider scene to get a sense of the place. Elephants need lot of food so they need to keep on moving from one place to another while feeding. God has designed their stomach in such a manner that the digestion efficiency is less and lot of partially digested seeds disperse through elephant. In fact elephant dung provides a very good fertilizer and enabling environment for seeds to grow. Thanks for sharing.
