The composition is fine. Since it is against the sky the birds got underexposed. Giving a +ve EC would have been good, as now there is some noise. Also you could have used a slightly narrower aperture to get more details. Thanks for sharing.

Agree that a narrower aperture would have been good; you could have gone to f8 easily seeing the relatively high shutter speed. Also, a positive EC would have exposed the birds better and you could have avoided increasing the brightness later on during PP.
