Connectivity is the key for these forests to survive. One astonishing place which has made a good recovery is Sathyamagalam. Though heaviliy exploited this forest has connectivity (of course those corridors are very fragile) to other protected areas and hence long term conservation potential is more.

Sabyasachi Patra used to stress time and again that there needs to be connectivity between forests. Else, conservation will just be a conversation.

We can see how exactly is this forest is connected to other PAs.
