Beautiful image.
Woods are lovely, dark and deep.........
I can see some of the finest Antlers of the Indian jungles
You can find them only in Corbett, Kanha and Masinagudi and nowhere else
Let them block your road........
You just absorb.
Thanks for sharing. SaktiWild
Probably this shot was taken near the entry point to Dikala...great place....to feel wilderness...
It is their area, we actually keep blocking them when we pass in gypsies . Liked the composition with the tall trees framing on both the sides. Thanks for sharing.
corbett scapes are super.

The dark, long & wide tree canopy of Corbett forests is a rare spectacle. a big herd, is there a predator lurking somewhere. thanks for sharing.
Sakti Da, Panadarponi meadows of TATR also harbor a quite big population of Cheetals.
Subhash Bhai,
No doubt size of the Chital herd is of great importance. Nevertheless, what exactly I wanted to convey was that the best antlers are carried by Stags seen in these areas.............and I could see two or three in the photograph.
Always feel free to share your observation.
Kind regards, SaktiWild
It is always good if the deer move at an unhurried pace after sighting human beings. That would indicate less of poaching. In some of our sanctuaries, deer flee away from us indicating poaching pressure.
