Default Gimlet Eyes--Spot Bellied Eagle Owl

Also known as the Forest Eagle Owl.There was practically no light when this rare predator of the night flew across our line of vision and settled in the dark recesses of a tree on the hill side.Photography under these circumstances was a tricky affair.Nikon 7100+150-600 FL460mm 1/15s F/8 ISO3200 K gudi aug 2015 late evening.

Superb...what a way to start the day...sighting one is itself a pleasure. this is one of the most powerful and feared predators in the canopy. this is a good image in the circumstances. If this is a crop may be you can try a vertical with an offcentered compo.

Rare sighting. You got it well even with such a low shutter speed. Nicely captured. Thanks for sharing.

The powerful talons and the beak ! Cool image. Nice details, 1/15 shutter image doesn't show anywhere. Well done, ma'am. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely sighting. May be a vertical composition would have been nice or a horizontal with a more off-centred composition. The good thing about this image is that the bird is in the clear. Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers,
