ID: Hoverfly?
One of the most common sighting along the trail, these beauties are found in abundance during the post monsoon season, though not a very easy subject to capture. After several failed attempts in multiple visits, was kinda successful in getting a better shot with the aid of helpful natural lighting. These beauties tend to hover at one spot for a moment and all of a sudden accelerate off to a new location, later staying air borne on that new location. A beautiful sight to enjoy against the bright and vibrant background of the trail, though, like mentioned earlier, not an easy task to frame them.
This being a highly cropped frame, almost reduced to 40% of the original size.
