Munia By Kanan Bishnoi
When I wake up in the morning,
Many birds are calling,
Munia is picking up the grass,
For her babies she forecasts,
All the grass she amass,
She makes a nest first class,
We call it…. Jhakaas.
Everyday I stand with a camera,
Munia
I see Munia has a lot of stamina,
Munias are always nearby,
They are our family and not shy,
In my dreams I also fly,
One day we will all fly in the open sky.
Editor: Our youngest contributor Miss Kanan Bishnoi is 7 years old. Kanan loves to plant trees and considers everything has life, whether it is a river or the mountains apart from trees, birds, insects and animals. She completed CME, Marathon (10Km) at the age of 06 years. She currently studies in Army Public School, Khadwasla(NDA), Pune and is the daughter of Mrs Shakti Bishnoi
Mr A S Bishnoi is a post graduate in Electronics. Apart from wildlife photography, he is an entomologist and qualified ornithologist. He has been contributing by participating in bird census of Chilika lake for the last 10 years. He planted Pune's first Sacred Grovesa nd also planted 1215 native saplings around his pune house. Both of them have reared more than 1300 butterfly in their house and their journey still continues.
