Default Collared scops owl on a tree trunk

Superbly camouflaged, we could not see it despite the guide telling us exactly where it was. After about 5 mns of straining my eyes I suddenly saw it, looking like a tree stump!

Here we see it with its eyes open.

Nicely camouflaged. There seems to be some noise, is this a crop? Nice sighting. Thanks for sharing.

Nice camouflage. Nature's way of helping them. When they are still they appear as an extension of the tree. That is why animals and birds don't make unnecessary movements.

Thanks to Shaktipada dada for reminding us of Jawaharlal Nehru's quote. Most of today's generation is not fortunate to be introduced to his writings. Thanks once again for sharing those pearls of wisdom.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
