Do you mean Chrysemis picta? The facial stripes appear unlike that one to me. Don't know much about freshwater chelonians, but will try to get back with an ID... Photographs from different angles would be welcome (although I guess that is unlikely since you were shooting from afar).

Looks nice. I think a bit less contrast and opening up the shadows will be good.
