It is sad to see the fall out of the BP oil spill. This oil spill was unprecedented in its scale. Unfortunately, our science hasn't reached a stage where we can safely deal with such oil spills. The scientists who have come out with the oil cleaning solution have no understanding of its impact on the overall marine ecosystem. It appears nature will need atleast several decades to somehow come out of this deadly oil spill. However, some of the marine species would have got their DNA altered, as we see crabs and prawns with no eyes. The fall out of the BP Oil spill is no less than a nuclear holocaust.

I guess even winding up BP and using up all its money may not be enough to reverse the damage. Will our lawmakers learn any lesson from this fall out?
