Fantastic hairdo
This beauty is a pretty common bird in Pangot....goes to show just how beautiful Pangot is...hope it stays that way.
Shot with the Nikon D90, Nikkor 70-300mm, 300mm, ISO 200, 1/100s - F/5.6

Nice image. Bright eyes. Lovely forwardly curving pointed crest. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild
Lovely spikes . The diagonal perch looks nice. Good eye contact. slight less space on the right would have enhanced the composition further. Thanks for sharing.

Bhai Kaustuv,
After going through writings of the two Greats who have enriched our lives so much, I am inclined to believe that Grey-winged Blackbird (Turdus boulboul) and White-rumped Shama (Copsychus malabaricus) were favourite songsters of Salim Ali and M.Krishnan respectively.
You might have listened to the melody of Grey-winged Blackbird and photographed it.
Kind regards,
SaktiWild
I like the eye contact and the crest. A vertical composition would have been nice, however that would have meant an even larger crop. Nice to see these images from Pangot. Thanks for sharing.
