You have got the focus right. A very tight composition. Some more space all around would be good. Wish the foreground was less crowded. Thanks for sharing.

It is important that there is more space in the direction the animal/bird is moving or looking. That makes the viewer think "what is it looking at?" etc. In the present image our attention goes at the centre and the head doesn't get the attention. So the image doesn't work. If the bird would have turned its head slightly and looked at you, then the image would have been much better. Normally, they keep on looking at different directions or moving, so one has to anticipate the best angle and click. Thanks for sharing.
