Default White spots on tiger's ears

Though in this particular picture , tiger was walking towards us , but somehow in this particular picture 'white spots' of tiger's ear is clearly visible.

The white spots are called 'eye spots' or 'predator spots'. They help keep cubs safe from predators that are approaching from behind by appearing as eyes, and making it seem like the tiger is larger and looking at the predator. They also help adult tigers in the same way.

Nice walking pose. The large white spots on both ears well documented. Thanks for sharing.SaktiWild

The walking pose with the raised paw looks nice. The face appears to be slightly underexposed. Is this a full frame? Thanks for sharing.

Mrudul , thnx for the comment , this is full frame and camera was hand held in moving vehicle , may be this could be the reason for face to appear underexposed / slightly blur. Please suggest remedial action in such condition to prevent underexposed image.

    Vipin,
When the animal is kind of against the light, then you need to be careful about the autofocus. Our autofocus mostly works on the basis of contrast. So the AF of the camera will lock into an area of greater contrast which need not be the face.

The original image appears to be underexposed? To get the eyes better, you need to give a positive exposure compensation. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
