This is a rare photograph. I have not seen a baby elephant sleeping . The composition is nice. I liked the low angle and the details. The rocks look good. Where did you photograph this? Thanks for sharing.

This is indeed a rare image. However I would have framed the subject more towards the upper left of the frame and try and get more rocks in and that would strengthen the composition and also make the camouflage more evident. Thanks for sharing.
really nice. happy to see this picture. i have not yet saw a calf sleeping. TFS
Agree with the above comments. Nice to see this image. The rocks look good. A higher DOF would have been better.
Vikram,
Is it a healthy baby? What about its mom? An aperture of f8 here would have been good.

I think the baby elephant is sleeping peacefully in camouflaged rocky place. The sleeping baby elephant brings out emotions in me.
Vikram, Thanks for not disturbing the elephants.
The baby has a deep wound on the right side , just above the temple, his aunt has a wound ( healed ) on her trunk ( photo attached ). While the baby's physical condition seems to be good , he does rest frequently. His wound is showing signs of slow healing. It will be interesting to see if he survives .
