A few minutes before this may have helped in getting the setting Sun. Due to the blacks all around, the eye is led to the opening in the clouds. Wish the Sun and some colours were there to hold the interest. The best way to get good landscape images is to scout the location before hand and then choose your place and wait for the sunrise or sunset to happen. Unfortunately, too often we make the last minute dash to catch the setting Sun or the Sun rise. I have been guilty of this in the past as well.

The vertical composition looks nice. The blue and black colours give a different feel to the image. I would have liked to add a bit more space from the bottom to the top, to see more of the sky. Thanks for sharing.
