    Default Indian Wild Dog - Dhole/Bandipur #1

Shot this dhole on 1st Nov'10 (Monday) early morning at Bandipur, it was pack of 2, male and female. Probably they had made a kill as their tummies were full and were in a mood to rest. I wish I had left more space all around to show the habitat but I guess it was too close for 500mm, this is the best I could compose on field.

Camera Model Canon EOS 7D, 500mm
    Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/125
    Av( Aperture Value ) 8
    ISO 400
    Focal length 500mm
    Full frame

The depth of field is sufficient. May be selecting the outer right side AF point would help in showing less of the road at the right and more of the vegetation at left. Also a vertical orientation would also be nice. Thanks for sharing.

The pose is nice.eye contact is good.

Agree that using the outer right AF would have brought more of the vegtation into the frame .Also wud have resulted in an offcentered composition. TFS

Nice head turn. The catchlight in the eye looks good. I know the head turn might be a very quick action, you could have tried placing it a bit more to the right. Agree with above comments. Thanks for sharing.
