No amount of tiger census or statistical analysis will increase tiger numbers. Contiguity among our forests, creating an inviolate spaces for our wildlife and sufficient protection is the only solution to increase tiger numbers. So curtailing the area of Nagzira-Navegao reserve goes against the grain of conservation. I hope the Hon'ble Minister for MoEF is able to appreciate this fact and ensure that the area is not curtailed.
