I agree with Mrudul and Praveen. Also, you need to keep a close eye on the background. That often strengthens the image or downgrades it. The basic idea is to get an image with all the elements in harmony.

In this case, you got the expression nice. The antlers are in velvet and looks good. There is a branch that appears just behind the head of the stag. That takes away our attention a bit. Often these things can make a difference.

If you are quiet and then wait for sometime, the animal is likely to move to a place where the background would be better, light would be better etc. That would result in a pleasing image. Wildlife photography is about patience as well.
