    Default Simplr, yet sweet!

Oriental magpie robin shot at munnar.

A bird which is fairly common and leads a simple lifestyle- but it's call is sweet enough to not be bored even if you listen to it every morning
    f5.6, 1/500sec, ISO 1600, EV +0.7, 400mm, CWA metering.
    canon 60D, canon 100-400
Had to stick to a high ISO as lighting was very inconsistent.

The eye contact is nice. I think the whites on the feathers have lost details, reducing the EC would be good. Do you keep it default to +0.7EC? Wish it was on a natural perch. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Mrudul. I dont keep it at +0.7 but in this case the lighting was very inconsistent...shadows would be coming and going, so whwn there us shadow even the positive EC wouldnt suffice and in the other case, it looked like this..so decided to keep it at 0.7! I shot some images at EC 0 and 0.3 during my trip to tadoba..so you may like them

Nice image. The tiles form a nice pattern and it would have come out even better under a narrower aperture. Slight pink tinge is seen in the head and also in the white feathers in the the underparts. So slight tweaking of the white balance would be good. Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,
