Nice image. I think some more space at the top would have been better as the elephants looks cramped. A vertical would have also worked. Thanks for sharing.

Since it was very close so i could not leave space at the top. This was full frame taken at 55mm.I also tried vertical, there was abranch at top which was disturbing.
Suraj,
Good to know the reason. I do lot of tight compositions. However, I am careful that people don't follow me blindly.
A good environmental image can have the subject anywhere between 1/3rd to 2/3rd of the image. When you have a short lens, better to try and create environmental images. Later on when you buy long lenses, you will have enough opportunity to create closeups.

Suraj Bhai,
It appears to me that it is the front view of the same tusker whose side view was posted on 01-Dec-2011.If this is correct, then I could not read the curvature of the tusks properly from your first photo and my comments on your first photo needs change to that extent. These tusks are not that dreaded but owner of such tusks have strong neck and shoulder in their prime.God's gift in another way.
Nice image with habitat. The elephant seems to have crossed his prime. Thanks for sharing.

Nice display of habitat. Agree with the above comments. The details are nice inspite of the low shutter speed, you were clicking hand held or you used a support? Thanks for sharing.
