    Default Adding colour to life!

This was shot early in the morning in Bhitarkanika National Park, Odisha yesterday. I liked the near monotones and the contrasting striking colours of the woodpecker in this image.

    Canon EOS 7D, 420mm
    SS 1/60
    f/5.6
    ISO 1600

This is a full frame image shot handheld in extremely low light. Comments and critiques welcome.

Love the vibrant colours of the woodpecker. I guess the slight lack of sharpness can be pardoned here (It is still sufficiently sharp considering the conditions).

Very nice compostion. The pine leaves give the natural feel of water dropping against the light which is enhancing the feel of this image. The red crown also looks lovely.

    Bibhav,
I agree with the previous comments. Did you not have your tripod? Wish the light was better.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the observations.
    Sabyasachi,
I had the tripod but the sighting was pretty brief so shot handheld. Wish I had managed a bit more sharpness.
