I liked the B/W image better, it brings out the details nicely. The colour image doesnt have any signiifcant effect on the photo.

I like the color one better.
I feel a B&W is much more effective when the main subject is surrounded by a alot many colors. Example, a elephant perhaps surrounded by tall grasses, some trees etc. Converting such an image to B&W gives it a more homogeneous tone. That makes the prime subject stand out.
In this image, there are hardly any distractions. There are very few colors to start with. So the B&W conversion doesn't make it any more dramatic.
This is a personal opinion of course!
