A chrysalis (pupa) of a Common Crow butterfly (Euploea core). Approx. 2cm long. Found this on an Oleander plant (Nerium oleander?).
It was tough to get a clear shot through the leaves... there are some OOF distractions, but this was the best I could manage.

. I am not sure what the brown lines are, they appeared only during the later stages of the pupa, they were not clearly visible at first. So I suppose they appear due to the growth of the pupa in size.
