Default Lynx Spider with a Meal | backlight with flash

Photographed this spider, back lit by the sun, using flash at low output. I liked the look of the image, though the lighting seems a little unnatural... Let me know what you think.

Lynx Spider (family Oxyopidae) with prey (probably some bug?). Lynx spiders are commonly found on garden shrubs as well as in forests. Identified by the spiny legs and eyes arranged in a hexagonal pattern on the head. They are pretty bold, and often jump onto the camera.

Canon EOS 500D + Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens
    Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE
    Tv 1/200
    Av 8.0
    Exposure Compensation -2/3
ISO Speed 1600 (again unnecessary )
    Flash On (built-in flash)
    Flash Exposure Compensation -1

    Hand held and manually focused.
    Increased the brightness a little.
Slight crop from the bottom and right to enhance composition.

    Thanks, C&C eagerly awaited.
