A Orange Headed Thrush

The image of this bird was created at around 11:30am, the sun was already high at that time.

This bird, a Orange headed thrush was tucked in heavy undergrowth which is profuse at the Nelapattu sanctuary. I did not have a clear line of sight to the bird, hence the blurred twigs and vines.

Lovely image. Having a clear background definately enhances the image.
It is quite difficult to capture a bird in such bushes and undergrowth.

Your shutter speed was 1/30. It is difficult to get a sharp image at that shutter speed. Were you using monopod or clicking handheld?

It is difficult to get a clear line of fire through the vegetation. However, that makes wildlife photography much more challenging. Better luck next time.

Yes, I took this picture on a mono pod again. Indeed, wildlife photography is challenging. I was tempted to make some birdie noise to make the thrush look at me or hop to a more uncluttered twig.

But, I refrained. Anyways, better luck next time to me!
