Indian White-rumped Vulture (Gyps bengalensis)
Rare bird. Nice wingspread. More details in the wings would have been good. Where did you photograph this?

Mrudul Godbole
Placing the bird in the left half of the frame would have helped in getting a more dynamic feel to the image. The focus seems to be a bit off. Agree about the ID. Thanks for sharing.
Agree with Bibhav on the compo. The focus seems off. Why f13?
Thanx for comments.....
I saw this bird while on trek to karnala fort, raigad district, maharashtra.
BTW it was my first outing with my new 70-300 sigma lens, and amongs the first hand on it... yet to learn handeling it.
will try to follow all sugestions.....
Sachin,
The wing stretch is good. It needed a positive exposure compensation. Please refer to the photography tips section for tutorials on exposure.

You saw this at Karnala? Surprising, there have been no vulture sightings in that area for at least the past 5-6 years...
Hey tht means i was lucky to be able to capture it.
Wish i get more time for photography.....
Corrected image with Nikon Capture NX2
