    This was shot in Karanji Lake last week. This guy was sitting on top of a tree whilst we paddled below it. It didnt flinch.

    This is Full frame...
    Canon 1000D, 300 f/4 +1.4x TC
    SS 1/400 (+1/3)
    F/5.6 (should have narrowed it further)
    ISO 400

    nice shot, nice closeup, good eye contact, a little more of exposure wud hav worked well.

    Nice closeup and eye contact. Wish the light had covered the whole eye. Agree a narrower aperture would have been good. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice close up.Narrower aperture, with more of the body in focus,would have been better.Thanks for sharing

    Nitin, Can you elaborate what you mean by more exposure? I'm not sure I got what you were referring to.

    I guess Nitin is talking about pulling up the exposure slider a bit. I too feel a bit more brightness would have been better. Especially since I am having difficulty in reading the details in the blacks (in some areas of the wing and at the back of the head). I agree that a narrow aperture would have been even better here. Overall looks good.

    Pulled up exposure by +.20 and fill light increased by 2 points. Do let me know what you think.

    Nice. Lovely details. I like the leaves too. I would pull the exposure up a little further, if it doesn't harm the image too much.
