When a bird is in such a pose with the back towards us and head away from us, the depth of field becomes an issue ie. getting the back as well as the head in focus becomes difficult. So a narrow aperture like f8 etc would result in better depth of field than a wider f5.6 aperture.

In this case, moving slightly to the left would have been great, as that would have ensured separation between the branch in the background and the head of the bird. However, I am not sure if you could have managed to move without the bird flying away.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

The composition is nice. The bright branch just behind the head is a bit distracting. I like how Sabyasachi has explained the situation here. Thanks for sharing.

Nicely captured. A slight more eye contact would have enhanced the image even further. How is the birding at Hebbal? Look forward to more. Thanks for sharing.
