These days I prefer carrying my P&S rather than heavier load of SLR & lenses as I have been on very frequent official trips for last few months. But sometimes these cameras give very good & better images than SLR.I am yet to get a descent image of this bird with my SLR.

    Image is missing.Uploaded again..

I like the eye contact. The catchlight in the eye looks good. Reducing the colour temperature a bit will look good. also, there is a slight greenish tinge to this image. Overall looks nice. Thanks for sharing.

Compact cameras have smaller sensors. So you will get more noise as compared to DSLRs. However, with DSLRS one needs to carry long lenses. If you are unable to carry a big camera, then compact cameras can be carried.

    Cheers,

Lovely eye contact. The composition is nice. As a PnS is lighter, it is quite easy to photograph and the light was good here so you got a good shutter speed. Definitely these the quality of compact cameras is becoming better. Thanks for sharing.
