Default Off to find the stripes!

Even after sighting tigers in my last 8 consecutive visits to bandipur, one cannot have enough of them. So, I will be off to bandipur again tomorrow
for 5 days to try my luck again Hope to see you all again with some nice images...

Lovely sighting this was on a misty morning, it is nicely stored in my memory. The light was really low and this guy kept walking & walking up the hill for a while. The noise is visible in bg, looks like 60D can't handle ISO 800.

Enjoy your trip Bhargava & share some thrilling moments with images soon

Thanks Praveen sir. yes..the 60D can't habdle ISO 800, but I've observed it can't handle "only" ISO 800! Because, I made images of Gouri back in January at ISO 1250 and 1600- they look decent! Will post that image made at ISO 1250 this evening

Frankly speaking, even with the Mark IV, I would be happy if the light is good for ISO 200. However, I keep on shooting at whatever ISO is required. Having said that, correct exposure and amount of crop plays a large role in how your image appears.

Good luck on your Bandipur trip. I am sure this time you will get much better shots, as you have rapidly picked up lot of techniques.

    Cheers,

Photographing tigers is never enough . Its good you are going again to Bandipur. I think in 5 days you have sufficient chance to sight a tiger again. Hope to see lot more images. Good Luck.
