I was wondering about the title "A Wild Thorn: Silent Valley" till I read the entire article. It is good to hear one account of the Silent Valley movement that I used to read at that time in the newspapers. The newspapers had highlighted about Salim Ali writing to Mrs. Indira Gandhi and the groundswell of opinion and protests that resulted in saving the beautiful place. So now it is good to hear the contribution of one major soldier in that movement. I am sure the satisfaction of fighting for a cause especially like saving the Silent Valley would be one of your most treasured memories.
