    If Gavi is typical Western Ghats region,whats so special about it?

    I dont know the answer but Iam sure this is a special place.

    Beautiful landscape. The ranges of mountains in the background frame the image well. It seems that the thick vegetation is only at the bottom of the mountains. Any particular reason for that? Thanks for documenting this place and sharing with us all the information.

    Nice observation Mrudul.It seems the grass is thicker at the bottom and as it climbs up becoming thinner.May be all the grasslands in the Western Ghats is similar.Iam sure I have seen the same sort of hills in the Agastyamalai range.
